This machine mbb 12 ( Size VS 300 ) has been working since 10.11.2008 at TerraCon GmbH in D-20539 Hamburg, Hovestr. 74 (Northern Germany).
The duty is the separation of organics out of contaminated soil 0 – 30 mm. The system is also suitable for the separation of sewage sand or sweeping dust into mineral and organic solids fractions. Input is 10 - 20 t/h at an organic content from 30 up to 80 % .
The plant uses three polyurethane lined pumps each delivering 80 m³/h and has a total power consumption of 197 kW incl. pumps, screens, conveyor belts and sludge dewatering. The input is supplied via shovel loader and conveyor belts direct into the Vertical Jig. The TOC in the mineral fractions, both coarse (Underflow Vertical Jig) and fine ( cyclone sand ), is reliably < 3 %. Both cyclones are 10” Mozley with a hydraulic capacity of 80 m³/h each.
By switching alternatively from cyclone 1 to 2 it is possible to route the cyclone sand underflow separately to dewatering screen 2, resulting in a coarser mineral product from dewatering screen 1 which has improved draining characteristics.
By opposite switching the mineral product’s compaction characteristics are improved, making it better suited for use as hardcore or infill material in civil engineering and road construction..
